News flash, we know he’s a Republican, and we still voted for him for governor and think he’ll be a great Senator. To anyone reading this who hasn’t yet made up their mind: Hogan will vote for Trump’s Supreme Court nominees.  Trone will vote for Biden’s Supreme Court nominees.  That’s all you need to know.  Please ignore the nonsense rationalizations put forward by the Hogan apologists and go into this election with your eyes open.  If you want Trump’s Supreme Court nominees, vote for Hogan.  Because that’s what you’ll be getting.  Not “moderation”.  Trump’s SC nominees.[/quote]
This is all based on the premise that Trump wins and that a liberal justice retires/dies during this presumed Trump presidency. To the best of all of our knowledge Sotomayor, Kagan and Brown Jackson are not in ill health, nor are they likely to retire during a hypothetical Trump presidency. Trump replacing say, Clarence Thomas, doesn’t change anything it keeps the status quo, so I would only consider the liberal justices in this scenario. I just find all of this too attenuated to force me into voting against Hogan. YMMV.[/quote]

Yeah, this isn’t swaying me. My vote for Larry Hogan isn’t what’s holding it up, it is the overall dysfunction in our political system. To be frank I think Congress needs an infusion of politicians like Larry Hogan to become somewhat functional again. [/quote]

You know, a really good way to do this would be to run against Trump for the Republican presidential nomination.  As a 2-term governor, he had the perfect amount of experience.  Yet he ran away from the fight.  Larry Hogan does not give a damn about making the Republican Party more moderate.  He’s just an opportunist.[/quote]
