And observing how they acted they may not be on same page re timing. Their request is not part of religion. Their request is so unusual there is no provision for it in US or DR law. If she was trafficked the parents in essence shutting down the investigation after only 11 days may compound the tragedy and could put others at risk. The men in the bar sniffing drinks and engaging in other suspicious behavior, including being seen on cctv going to the beach as friends retutmed could be a risk to others. DR has strong economic incentive to sweep under rug. The counter to that would have been family and public pressure. [/quote]
