Russia defeated Napoleon and Hitler when everybody thought that they were finished and retreating. Never underestimate Russia. The country on-track towards anarchy is Ukraine. Have you been there? I have. The level of destruction is unimaginable. It will take 50 years to rebuild that country once the war is over. Ukraine's counteroffensive is failing badly. Zelensky would be wise to negotiate a settlement to end the war and preserve the territories they currently have under control, but more importantly to preserve the life of ten of thousands of Ukrainian people.
Napoleon, WTF are you talking about? How is that relevant at all? If anything, Russia and its crappy supply lines are playing the role of Napoleon in this war. Ukraine's counteroffensive is already far more successful than Russia's winter offensive. How many bodies did they throw away to level a town they've already lost?
It is relevant because Russia has now moved into a defensive position. Ukraine took the bait and started a counteroffensive that will prove to be a fatal mistake. Russia is stronger when they play defense. That's why Napoleon's war is relevant, so is Hitler's. Russia can't lose in defensive positions. It never has. Napoleon and Hitler know it too well. Zelensky will regret starting this counteroffensive. They will be crushed like many other that have tried.
?? Having a huge tactical advantage while playing defense is not uniquely Russian. It's why Russia's initial offensive was so pitifully anemic. Their supposed "second best army in the world" failed to capture (or even enter) the capital of its neighbor, who at the time, hadn't been truly geared up by the West. But Russia isn't playing defense at home. They're playing defense in occupied territory and will have to be supplied, refreshed, replenished, etc. That's where they'll fail and ultimately repeat their awesome Kharkiv defense. Unless by defense, do you mean running away with looted toilets?
They aren't even "playing defense" - the Ukrainian advance is accelerating, and the Russians keep losing territory. Ukraine has recaptured several towns in just the last few days alone. And, Russia faces an ever increasing number of strikes against military, intel and government targets well inside Russia's own borders, not just on key depots and bases deep inside territory they hold.
You are dreaming. Ukraine’s counteroffensive is a disaster. NATO and the West have acknowledged it and are putting more pressure on Zelensky. “When Ukraine launched its big counteroffensive this spring, Western military officials knew Kyiv didn’t have all the training or weapons—from shells to warplanes—that it needed to dislodge Russian forces. But they hoped Ukrainian courage and resourcefulness would carry the day. They haven’t. Deep and deadly minefields, extensive fortifications and Russian air power have combined to largely block significant advances by Ukrainian’s troops.”
Oh? I didn't realize Russia was doing so well? A criminal case has been initiated, the investigation will find the perpetrators, and they will be punished. Everything that happens, you can’t call it anything other than insanity. This is disrespect both to the Russian people and to their own people." https://t.me/s/SolovievLive?before=200081 "Baza later reported that a military enlistment office in Ulan-Ude was also set on fire, making it the 12th such incident in 24 hours." And speaking of Cyprus...are you demonstrating yet for Turkey to let go of its part?
"The arrest and escape of an alleged member of a Russian spy ring last week recalls the rich history of espionage in Cyprus" https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sdut-cyprus-a-familiar-stopover-in-spy-lore-2010jul06-story.html https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Alexander_Zaporozhsky The activities of KSRCK are managed and financed from Moscow. Since February of the previous year, KSRCK has become the official organizer of numerous propaganda campaigns in support of Russia, Putin, and the crimes of the Russian army in Ukraine. It is evident that all of this was done under Moscow’s instructions, with the Russian Embassy and the Russian Cultural Center in Nicosia being the main organizers. In 2008, Pyanykh, on behalf of ARBK, organized a vacation in Cyprus for the families of deceased FSB «Alpha» special forces personnel, for which he received gratitude from the leadership of the «Alpha-Center» foundation, one of the pockets of the FSB. Pyanykh actively participates in the organization of all official events under the auspices of the Russian Embassy or the Russian Cultural Center. He can always be seen at meetings with Russian official delegations visiting Cyprus. https://cyprus-daily.news/spy-get-out/ "Head of D.C.'s Russian Cultural Center Accused of Recruiting American Spies" "If a Russian diplomat offers a young, up-and-coming professional in Washington an all-expenses paid trip to the mother country, complete with fancy hotels, drinks, and meetings with Vladimir Putin's political underlings, well, that guy just might be a spy." https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2013/10/head-dc-russian-cultural-center-accused-recruiting-spies/309616/
