The thread below is insane. Hard to believe these people are future lawyers. [twitter]https://twitter.com/FrankLuntz/status/1525516070378868737[/twitter]
Free speech. If I ever see Alito in person I will scream at him until his ears bleed. Alito is now the new Hitler, the new Mussolini. I will not have my liberty downgraded because he is a sexist pig. I will not be willingly enslaved.
Just move to Maryland or DC. Problem solved.
Not if there's a nationwide ban.
Very unlikely to happen. Abortion wasnt illegal throughout the US before RvW so it doesnt logically follow that it will be banned after.
Abortion wasn’t politicized before the way it is now. Sure Catholics opposed it but it wasn’t a core tenet of right wing ideology until later
Pre-1980's Catholics practiced what they preached. They also didn't impose their religion on to others the way the Evangelicals are now.
There is scant evidence this has happened due to anyone's religion. Many people believe abortion is murder and they have concerns with murder for many reasons, some moral and some practical.
But they are fine with the death penalty
did the baby do something wrong and go to trail to get aborted?
DP. If you believe in the sanctity of life, you should be opposed to the willful taking of all life.
+1 Is life sacred or not? Are some lives less sacred than others?
Life is sacred. It's why people are disturbed and saddened to think that over 60 MILLION developing babies have been aborted since Roe vs Wade.
Do you know anything about what happened in the country before Roe? The abortion rate was not meaningfully different than immediately after Roe (and higher than it is today). The difference is that more women died in the process. Warehouse workers came into work and found a dead body on the warehouse floor from a botched abortion overnight. Hotel housekeeping found women bled out in tubs from the same thing. Fathers and children came home from a weekend at grandma’s to find mom dead on the kitchen floor after attempting to abort herself. More lives were lost due to abortion before Roe than after, and the same thing will happen if abortion is banned. You are living in a deluded fantasy land if you think otherwise.
