My own father has early dementia and can only receive one assessment per year, unless there is a major event that warrants a new assessment. I was told that reassessment every 3 months means a diagnosis has been made, and prognosis is poor. The repeated assessments are to track decline. [/quote]

He likely has congestive heart failure (in addition to dementia), which is why he’s getting seen quarterly.  His symptoms are just like my father’s.[/quote]

My dad lived to 90 with it. It was diagnosed when he was around 80. [/quote]
