All-State coverage: https://www.insidenova.com/sports/oaktons-aly-yee-jenkins-and-craig-oliver-are-the-class-6-girls-lacrosse-player-and/article_a5ce3160-0acd-11ee-864b-3b51ab322e4c.html
Holy crap! Did the POY really have 92 goals? That’s insane.
Yes, very impressive stat and very impressive player. What’s more impressive is another player in the Concorde had more goals and in less games. Some great players in the Concorde
When considering the number of goals a players scores one should also look at the percentage of goals this player has for her team. #11 scored 33% of Oakton’s goals, which is a little high. If this other player had more goals she then represented an even higher percentage of her teams goals since the other Concorde teams had fewer total goals. She would have to be closer to 40-50% of her team’s goals which is not good balance. Was this out of necessity for the team or because this player just takes a lot of her team’s shots? Regarding assists, you need finishers to receive credit for an assist. #11 was fed more than feeding because she can finish. Not all players have this knack. #11 probably fed much more than her 15 assists but others did not finish at the same shooting percentage.
