Why are you part of a religion (or insert organization) where women are second to men? Do you believe that men are superior or in charge of women? If so, why?
What do you mean by second? Men and women in any aspect are equal but different. People fail to realize this fact. There are many things men cannot do that women can and vice versa. What is your religion? Allah gave women rights 1436 years ago when they were previously being bought and sold and buried alive, in other parts of the world their existence was often questioned and put down time and time again. No other religion but Islam holds our women with higher regard in the entire world, do your research. Yes, that's how Allah made us, men as the providers, protectors, and women the housekeepers, etc. This concept just changed within about 50-60 years in this country. Watch this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvto1aEI_jc&spfreload=10
Another dawah-wallah with jahiliya horror stories but poorer English skills this time.
Would it kill you to focus on the pp's point rather than mocking him for his English? More people here probably understood his point than understood the use of dawah wallah, a Pakistani or Indian term, but no one mocked you.
PP's points have been hashed and rehashed here. It cannot be independently verified that women were worse off pre-Islam than post-Islam. The assertion that Islam holds women in higher regard than any other religion--honestly? Then the whole bit that Islam views men and women as equal...but different so they really don't have equal rights, at least to those who engage in what another PP has called linear Western thinking. As another PP has put it we really shouldn't bother ourselves, and I'm finding it ridiculous that I've even written this.
