U.S. interests include support for democratic governments, which is not something found in Iran, Gaza, or many other ME areas, but is a feature of Israel political structure.   Those interests further include the suppression of Islamist terror, another feature of Iran and Gaza, and sometime Syria and Lebanon.  It's inarguable that Israel shares that objective with the U.S.   Clearly, Israel and the U.S. are closely aligned with regard to their foreign policies and their democratic values.  [/quote]
