He is incompetent and was caught flatfooted. I have seen zero credible evidence that he intentionally allowed the slaughter of his own people. What ostensible political goal would that even serve? His popularity within Israel absolutely tanked after October 7 and the war in Gaza hasn’t done much to rehabilitate his image.

And let’s say your bonkers conspiracy theory is true and he did intentionally allow October 7 to happen - is he ultimately responsible for October 7? Did he make Hamas spend billions of dollars digging terror tunnels and acquiring arms? Did he tell them to shoot thousands of rockets at Israel? Did he make Hamas murder 1,200 Jewish people including literal babies in the most horrific, sadistic ways possible? Did he make 70% of Gazans support October 7?

Netanyahu is neither incompetent nor flat-footed. The Gaza border is the most well secured and protected area in the world and somehow people think it's believable that a rag tag army with paragliders made it over to conduct an operation. And then it took 6 to 8 hours for some type of military response in a country the size of New Jersey. Only a moron would not see through this. [/quote]
