Iranians literally worship a martyr  and have martyrdom greatly lionized in their tradition.

One of the hallmarks of separation from Sunni Islam is that Shias make shrines out of graves, pilgrimages  to  these graves, and lionize the imams as holy- something not done by Sunnis.

It would be nice if people picked up a book and at least learned about the country and culture of the people they want to take over but our arrogance stops us from even doing that.
