And, these books are not just about gay characters, they are glorifying drag queens, etc. Incidental gay characters are okay, but these books are promoting gay characters. These books are not in the "sex education" curriculum, they are in the language arts curriculum--and the parents are not allowed to opt their kids out. I was a teacher before the Pride flag.
