You're making my point here. EDs are viewed as a moral failing, and being thin is sin-adjacent. Being obese is totally fine though, because this isn't about health at all.

Except no one is talking about "thin rights." They are saying that it is gross to speculate about whether or not someone has an eating disorder because (1) you cannot know just by looking at them and (2) an eating disorder is a dangerous illness and shouldn't be used as gossip fodder.

If you want to say that thin people are ugly or that Lily Collins thinness is ugly, fine. But sitting around debating whether someone you don't know has a debilitating and dangerous mental health condition just because you find her body unappealing is whack. Have a smidge of empathy for people who deal with eating disorders (a group that includes Lily Collins, the person whose body and weight you are picking apart for fun).[/quote]
