I wouldn't want to marry a doctor or lawyer, huge student loans, terrible hours, unscrupulous ethics, cheaters, stress etc. Marry a smart tech or business person who is hard working and honest - that's where the good money and lifestyle are.
My DH is a surgeon and an amazing partner and father. He has relatively good hours. He didn’t have any student loans and earns $1m+ as a specialized surgeon.
He’s an exception. Adultery is super common for medical professions particular with irregular work hours
I’m a doctor and this isn’t true. Doctors are very risk averse and in general more education equates with less divorce. When doctors get divorced it’s bc the wife is also a doctor and can afford to leave. Not usually over infidelity.
There are cheaters in all professions. Most doctors are very risk averse and studied really hard to get where they are. This is not grey’s anatomy. Most doctors also don’t make $$$. Sure, they may make 200-500k but that isn’t Jeff Bezos wher you are rolling in money. That affords you a nice UMC life with your family. I’m not saying cheating doesn’t happen. I remember when DH was a surgical fellow, there was a guy who got a PA pregnant and it was a big scandal. This is definitely not the norm.
