Oh please - Putin and Iran cultivated, trained and armed Hamas over 17 years - as soon as they won elected power in a Gaza - and even Israel funded them at some point

Putin exploited the conflict in o divert attention from his illegal immoral land grabs and empire building in Eastern Europe. He is using Trump to get the auS out of NATO so he can continue empire building  - who is beholden to him as credible banks would not loan money to him after he was bankrupted 5 times and ran his real estate empire business in dishonest ways.

It is not in US or Western European interests to have USSR rebuilt with even less checks and balances than it had before. They have made clear they planned on invading other countries after Ukraine. They are still the second biggest nuclear power and have no scruples.
