Here is the latest TikTok university sponsored event https://nypost.com/2023/11/25/metro/jewish-teacher-hides-in-queens-high-school-as-students-riot/?utm_campaign=nypost&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter
Here is video from the lockdown. I feel bad for the teacher who had to flee. [twitter]https://twitter.com/sfmcguire79/status/1728470315850780964[/twitter]
Will any of these kids be disciplined?
I’m not supportive of these actions (the student protests, etc.), but I don’t consider the teacher’s actions any less inflammatory than what Susan Sarandon said and did. In both cases, I’m fine with what they said and did, actually. But why are the very same people outraged by Sarandon (or celebrating her being cancelled) not outraged by this teacher?
I agree fully. Let's send a riot to Sarandon's house and trap her inside for a few hours.
Don’t forget to fire the teacher, do everything you can think of to blackball her from teaching or finding gainful employment ever again, and - and this is the important part - don’t forget to interpret her actions however you want - remember, it doesn’t matter how she feels, it only matters how you feel after twisting and distorting her words and actions to suit your needs!
I think you are confusing the government with private organizations. If you don't like what these private organizations did, stop supporting them.
Nice try. If the agency can terminate its relationship with Sarandon, so too can the school district with the teacher. Even with a teachers union likely to run interference, any expectation she might have had regarding protected speech would be blown up by the clear, demonstrable fact that her speech actually resulted in a disruption to the district’s efficient operations AND by the fact that it constitutes hate speech under the exact same flimsy principle that is used to characterize From the River to the Sea as hate speech.
