No one is entitled to anything.  But if a family offers to full pay for their son (or daughter), then they should seriously consider offering to pay for the SO as well. Or say "we are paying for meals and activities and lodging for everyone, travel is on you guys". Don't separate out the SO.  It's simply not good practice.  [/quote]
