Riverside is normally a NOVA public, perhaps they are down for their standards this year? They did upset Gonzaga last season.
They are always a NOVA public. In the past they had multiple D1 commits. They can only play with the kids who live in the geography of the school district. private schools recruit the entire DMV.
Um, sure. There are 2,000 kids at Riverside, 300 hundred at STA and similar at other privates. 99% of the kids at STA aren’t recruited.
This is a ridiculous statement. You are saying that all of those talented lacrosse players just happen to just show up at STA, strictly for educational purposes, with never talking to the coaches about playing lacrosse? haha
NP, I think what the PP was saying is that STA does not recruit the same way that SJC and some others do. If someone is diehard lacrosse, they typically aren't choosing to go to a perennial bottom feeder in the IAC, they'll choose to go to schools with better teams/lacrosse history that also provide strong educations.
Sorry the facts do not align with your post. The LSM and FOGO are two of the best in the area and they chose STA as well as several other committed players. All chose to go to the school v. playing for the local public school.
Sorry but the actual facts do not align with your narrative. You have ZERO clue about the individual decisions these families made. Some are multi-generational STA and others were always going to STA based on its academics. Furthermore, do you know what the local public school is? Probably not. It wasn’t on the table.
