No, I tried offering them an example of a teen sleeping in while parents went out for breakfast and they still freaked out.  Someone just doesn't think teens should ever be unsupervised unless they are in the parental home (or school I guess?).  I don't know how to tell them that kids as young as 16 move to new places entirely alone sometimes.  One of my college friends was 16 freshman year.[/quote]
