In fantastical world where the U.S. is somehow able to hold and govern a vast colony halfway around the world? Or in a fantastical world where USSR citizens somehow see the light and embrace the ways of the West after the tanks rolled in?

Yeah, that sounds totally realistic.

After all, every single army that rolled tanks toward Moscow was totally successful.
