He's trying to control COVID but half of the population still thinks COVID is a hoax/common cold/whatever and that vaccines are somehow more dangerous than the virus itself/a bigpharma scam/bigbrother microchip/liberals trying to cuck them/whatever other idiocy that their conservative media has told them.  And many of those people are the ones causing a lot of the supply chain issues along with clogging up the healthcare system.[/quote]'

No, he's trying to [i]ignore[/i] COVID which is not the same thing. I'll leave my comments on the supply chain crisis exploding right as the Secretary of Transportation decided to abandon his duties for 90 days for another time.

Most bigger blue state municipalities have already had all of those things - contact tracing, mass testing and closures.

But now you insist on far more and bigger national push, which will result in the inevitable unhinged right wing freakouts:
 - Contact tracing: "thEy'Re SpYIng On uS!"
 - Mass testing: "MoRE inTrUSivE TyRANniCaL MaNDaTEs!!"
 - Temporary closures: "LoCKdOWnS!!! REEEEEEE!!!!!!"

The unhinged right wing is why none of this can happen and why these kinds of insistences are doomed for disaster.  [/quote]
