Of course people who don't believe a load of superstitious nonsense are, on average, going to be smarter than people who do.  There is plenty of evidence to support this - e.g.

But to be honest, no amount of evidence will convince you. Religious people don't put their trust in reason or rationality, they put their trust in faith.  Why use reason when you can go with a bunch of random stories you have heard because of where and when you were raised, like children waiting for santa claus.[/quote]
