Private sales are illegal and all firearms transactions must fo through an FFL. Please elaborate on the private sales your are referring too, and don't embarrass yourself by saying gun shows.

Gun dealers already require a license, and are subject to strict audits by the ATF.  These audits are very comprehensive and can take weeks to complete as 4-5 agents are digging through tens of thousands of 4473s that you are required to keep on hand for 20 years.[/quote]

I’ll bet an extra $50 under the table to the gun dealer will by-pass all that paperwork and forms and background checks you seem to think are some kind of safeguard against illegal gun sales. These dealers probably make more money selling guns out the back door than they do out the front door.  :roll:
