This is such bs. She's having mental health issues but the haters gotta hate. The pressers after tennis matches are awful and no one finds them interesting. Why not change the rules?

No, she is not. She only brought that "victim" narrative after her badly managed decision backfired.
She did not want the press to "bring down her confidence." Too bad, too sad, snowflake. They will bring down your and everyone else's or nobody's confidence down.

She acted like someone who understands how many people view mental health issues — especially in people that they can “other”.  She also acted like someone who is an introverted, anxious, private person.

I think people often start with the minimalist explanation for privacy reasons until forced into going in to more details. If you're sick, do you ring work and say "i'm feeling unwell" or do you start with "I've got severe diarrhea with bleeding and cramps and am rushing to the toilet every 20 minutes?'[/quote]
