Sure. But my point is that conservatives are angling this as a hate crime against a South Asian man by two black girls but they refused to consider the Atlanta shootings a hate crime.

PP here. We don't know if either/both are hate crimes or nor, but I'll agree that both situations require significant consequences. Personally, I think it's possible that neither situation is a "hate crime."[/quote]

They're juveniles and their intent was to steal a car, not kill a man. It's vehicular manslaughter and they are already cooperating for a lighter sentence. They should be out before 30. [/quote]

In other words, if your original intent is a lesser crime, no significant consequence for end results if you're a teen?  No wonder older criminals and some parents teach teens to engage in criminal behavior, and teens aren't afraid to participate in armed muggings, breakins, and auto thefts.[/quote]
