And honestly, I think the boy deserves to have adults tell him this is inappropriate and teach him about good consent practices. But the problem OP, is that this family has already proved they’re not going to do that. They are going to ignore and excuse and not listen to their daughter or teach her how to clearly state her boundaries, or back her up when she does so. There is just a huge risk that anything you say to mom is going to cause this family to 1) cut you off from the child completely and/or 2) solve the “public” display problem without solving the “treating his sister like a toy” problem. I think you have to talk to the girl or call CPS. You just can’t trust a family that’s ignored so much already to solve this problem. Be exceedingly honest with CPS. You don’t know if it’s sexual abuse, but it could be, and all the others reasons it’s concerning to you.[/quote]
