Adam is Gay. Or at least he hangs out in gay bars. Last year my gay cousin saw him in a Dallas bar wearing a mustache and when his friend called out Adam, he looked at him and turned his head and was immediately walking away as quickly as possible. Not 100% sure it was him, but he did respond to his name and looked very nervous and hi tailed it away from my cousin.
Then your gay cousin is a terrible gay. Rule #1 of homosexuality: never speak of seeing a 'straight' person you know/know of at a gay bar or other gay function. Their life is not your business, especially not to broadcast. You can think, 'Ha! I always knew he was gay!' to yourself all you want, but you don't speak of it. FWIW, I am a lesbian and know of more than one M/F couple who are each gay and married. It was a conscious choice they made together years ago before the prospect of gay marriage being legal had even a glimmer of hope. Some did it for insurance purposes, some did it to get conservative family member's off their cases, some did it because they wanted kids, and some had their own reasons. They love each other, they love the family they've created together, and they even sleep together but do not have sex with each other. They see other people outside of the marriage to fulfill those needs.
