I suppose that could be it.  I've never heard anyone say that about Kate, though.  Jealous, yes (and who could blame her?).  Petty, no.

I'm the pp you're quoting and no, I don't have anything else.  I think I read somewhere that while Rose has been around for a while, Kate was the "queen bee" of the group (excuse the pun) and that she was always the leader of the social circle.  It just got me thinking that maybe Rose - for whatever reason - just started being.... I don't know.... "liked" more by the group?  And I could see Kate getting jealous of the attention if that were true.  Like one of those things where she just wants to bring Rose down a few notches, but as a result - everyone starts speculating that it's because she found out about an affair? [/quote]
