But good intentions about the benefits and convenience of walking to school do not change the fact that allowing or encouraging school attendance zones to be determined primarily by walkability will often lead to schools are as racially and economically segregated as the neighborhoods they're located in. And Arlington is segregated, no doubt. [/quote]
