Since then, federal bans in the 30's, 1968, 1986, 1989, 1993, 1994, and various state bans since the mid 90's through the present, have drastically reduced both the types of guns Citizens are permited to own, and created massive amounts of red tape for people to comply with in some states. The [i]only[/i] gun rights advancements in the last 20 years have been an increase in the number sates granting concealed carry licenses, which has resulted in a corresponding reduction in crime in those states.
