If you talk to any 2031 parent, most already have their eyes on the 2030 tryout process. If things unfold the way many expect and the team ends up being primarily BLC Blue 2030 players, then a lot of the area 2031 players will likely attend the BLC 2031 tryouts this summer to position themselves for Capital next year. It would also reinforce the perception that the CAP program has been successful, and worth the high cost.

Capital has it easy with the 2030 class, with only one dominant local team, but things get difficult next year. There’s broader talent across the 2031 class overall, with Stars, BLC, and YJMA all making the NGLL playoffs this season. All three of these local teams are currently ranked in the top 20 nationally for the 2031 class.  [/quote]
