The story about going to another room and him feeding her the combo for the safe and her quickly opening the gun safe under duress is not particularly believable. Nor is the time for delay re: the above if JR posed a true ongoing threat. For practical reasons, BB, trained LE, had his loaded weapon in hand and could have fired again if need be. I think he did not want to fire the definitive kill shot so that if need be AP would take the fall for the more easily proved homicide, not him. Shooting someone on the ground who has been shot in the head when there was an ability to retreat (proved by going into another room) is going to be hard for her to skate on. BB really set up 3 people. And, he did not marry her during the time they were playing house before her arrest.
BB was rendering aid to CB while the AP was covering Joe.
Rendering aid while covering Joe? Ok…Brendan the LE didn’t just shoot Joe again? Instead Brendan told Juliana to go get a different gun, in a different room, in a locked safe and then come back and shoot Joe who was on the ground. Make that make sense.
I mean you can't. Not only could he have fired again but he could have handed his service weapon to AP to "cover" JR. He clearly did not want to do that. The leaving room and returning really undercuts JR being an ongoing threat. Very unlikely she won't be convicted. That and bringing the child into the situation really stand out. Also, the idea she'd be fiddling with a lock on a gun case, I don't believe it was digital, is ludicrous. She's not trained LE, the adrenaline rush would be intense, your hands would be shaking, and she'd be futzing with a spin lock? And NO ONE calling 911 with a quickness while CB was bleeding out? That is the 3rd WTF piece of evidence that will be very challenging to try to explain away to a jury. Arresting BB and making it stick is a whole different story without her testimony to tie him to knife/stabbing and plot. He's not been charged for shooting JR given the circumstances. In these set up type cases can anyone think of one where 3rd party testimony isn't eventually key to convict? They were there (like this) or told before or after like Winger? All of the details are BS but they don't put a knife in BB's hand beyond a reasonable doubt without testimony. He doesn't seem like the type to be a monk for extended periods. Maybe pillow talk will sink him eventually. Time will tell.
