I don’t think so at all.  He was sitting in McDonalds, 5 days later, not far outside of NYC, with the murder weapon and the same fake ID still on him.  That isn’t rationale if you are trying to avoid being arrested. [/quote]

It’s not that the police “had a copy” but c’ mon.  You look like the killer whose photo has been widely circulated for days and are a 4 hour drive from NYC, AND you have a gun on you.  Forget the ID, it’s pretty incriminating to look exactly like the killer and be alone in a McDonalds eating, then to have a gun on you, forget it.  As soon as the ID is ran, yeah, the police are going to know it’s fake and be in touch with other depts if they haven’t already. [/quote]
