Ok, looking at the ages of Nancy’s siblings siblings-in-law it wouldn’t make a lot of sense for Kayla to be a niece. She could be related another way but I didn’t see any obvious link. The other information about her history, current arrest, connection to Luke Daley appear to be correct.
Great aunt/neice?
Possible, in my non-exhaustive 20 minutes on ancestry and a few more noodling around Google I didn’t find a connection. If they are related that would be a good guess by age
You didn’t find anything because there is no connection. It would be VERY easy to verify this if true. This is an Internet. Rumor started by an X sensationalist who has been arrested in the past for domestic violence. He is not to be trusted. He also spread many rumors the night of the SWAT Bust, all of which ended up being untrue.
That’s not true, it depends on what records are available, how various people have used social media, and how close branches of extended family are. By the time you are looking at great-nieces, cousins with various degrees of removal, etc. it’s not a given that you can quickly connect people. In my own family I have very close relationships with extended family through one of my maternal great grandparents and one of my paternal great grandparents, that’s 2 of 8 great grandparents. We know each other, spend time together, appear in socials together, many are named in obituaries. I grew up knowing my great aunts, uncles their cousins etc. But the families of the other 6 great grandparents? Not close at all. I know a lot of names but it would take a long time for someone to connect these more distant relatives because we aren’t visibly together and the crucial linking generations are hidden on genealogy sites because they are still living. You could look up Person A and find out where they live and a lot about their life, their close relatives, what they own, but easily and quickly connecting them to their more distant extended family is not a given. Anyway at this point it’s just a rumor that Kayla is related to Nancy but the fact that it’s not easy to show doesn’t eliminate the possibility. To be clear I’m not pushing to say that she is likely to be related. I’m just pushing back on the assertion that it’s impossible if it’s not easy to show.
