And the states are supposed to be running their own state because the governor is closer to the constituent base, and understands better what the needs are than does the federal government.  Each state should have prepared.  Other than Cuomo where are the governors?  And even Cuomo is blaming the federal government.  Cuomo wants ventilators.  NY could have bought them and prepared years ago but did not.  Trump is right to say "stop looking to me - order your own ventilators".  Other states will need them too.  Each state should have prepared better for emergency preparedness.  Nothing in the constitution says the federal government should be doing anything in this situation.  "All other powers reserved to the states . . . " it says in the U.S. Constitution.[/quote]

No, it doesn't make sense for states to bid against each other in a national/global pandemic.

Everyone knows this.  This is the job of the federal government, and they're not doing their job.[/quote]
