I know it would have been difficult, but they needed to do justice to his character by having his character pass away. It could have been a condition that would have “explained” his erratic behavior, as people sometimes do before they die, from brain tumors and such. They could have had an off-screen sister or something be with him in Japan for his final months, and pass on the news to Carrie and Anthony. It would have been a better ending for the character and for Willie Garson.[/quote]
