Not exactly creepy, but rather weird. i was living in Washington and involved in an on/off again long distance relationship with a guy in New York. I was in my early 20s, not happy with how things were going but still felt very attached and unable to let go. One evening when we were talking on the phone he mentioned that he was going to be in Baltimore for a very quick work trip but would not have time to get down to D.C. Because i was feeling so attached and, yes, a little desperate, I got in my car one evening and drove to Baltimore. i wasn't doing this in a stalkerish way ... I just needed to go out and do something. I did not know Baltimore at all ... I just sort of drove to the downtown area ... I did not even know the exact days he was going to be there or where he would be staying. Anyway, when I parked my car and started walking around, i ran straight into this man. I've often thought since then about the things we call into our lives. No, it didn't work out, but I was so focused on him then.
This isn't really creepy, but when I first moved to DC I had an unpaid internship and waited tables. I was between shifts during a double downtown a few blocks from the convention center, and my mom was in town for a conference but I hadn't seen her yet. Something happened that set me off. On my break I sprinted to the convention center and despite the gargantuan size of the place, I ran inside into one of the ballrooms and I sat down in a seat...right beside her. My mom and I aren't super close, but at that moment I really needed her, and somehow I was able to immediately find her.
