I'm in disbelief that teenagers could eat this much. My sister and I were petite. I actually think I was 1/2 anorexic most of high school because I remember pushing food around.
Are you an athlete? Teenage male athletes, especially ones that are still growing need a lot more calories than non-active petite teenage girls. There's a world of difference.
Full disclosure, I married an athlete who consumes about 4500 calories (he's a long distance athlete, so very thin still). He eats 5 meals a day, so at least while I'm at dinner I don't have to watch him eat 3x more than me. (I gained weight while dating because it's hard to watch someone eat and eat without wanting to eat as well) But he does eat a ton! He eats at 8, noon, 3, 6, and 9pm. It doesn't faze me much anymore, but when we stay at relatives houses, they are upset when all their leftovers disappear and that he keeps buying food to eat.
