Another useful fact: the US is the only developed nation in the world that fought a civil war over slavery, which led to the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, which begins: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. I like the 14th Amendment. I think it's a good one. A final useful fact: MCPS can't amend the US Constitution.[/quote]
