guilty working moms who don't care that SAHMs are actually looking out for your kids. working moms who will hire an illegal nanny whose language they don't know just so that little Timmy knows Spanish. Let's hope little Timmy never has a medical emergency that would require the nanny to describe the symptoms. SAHMs who keep saying everything is organic. Stop it already, my child won't die if he eats non-organic food. and in regards to sharing? Nope, my child won't need to share HIS toy with your child (especially if my child is 2 and yours is 6) but my child will have to share public or other people's toys. don't tell your child that he/she can have my child's toy. It isn't automatic and I won't beg him to do so. Oh and moms who talk about property value (of course beyond 700k) , about expensive pre-schools and about all the other privileged things your child will experience? : stop dissing me. I am trying to what's best for my child as well, we just don't have the money, alright? last but not least: moms who are in their 40s, don't write me off because I am under 30. I CHOSE to have kids, don't look at me like I am pathetic. I know as much about parenting as you do. Or as little :)
Ummm....how are SAHMs looking out for my child? If you mean they are the ones that volunteer, that is quite a generalization and not at all true. Lots of working parents volunteer and quite frankly, we are also paying a greater share of the "community" costs of public education, fire, police, etc. You don't need to justify your choices by bashing others.
SAHMs are the ones who grab your kid before he dashes into traffic outside the park, while the nanny chats on the cell phone. SAHMs are the ones who comfort your child when she's crying while the nanny gabs to her friends and ignores your child. SAHMs end up playing with your kid in the park while the nanny sits in the car with the baby and ignores the preschooler. SAHMs reunite the toddlers with the nanny who's smoking outside the library and let the kids go around the corner and out of sight when one of them can barely walk. I'm not rapping WMs with nannies; I had one myself. But I think this is what the PP probably means. Flame me for it if you like.
