They don't hate America.  They hate Americans who are not like them.  They hate minorities and poor people, and generally don't think highly of women.  They don't like non-Christians.

I view myself as a Conservative voter re fiscal issues, and you have in no way described me--or those who share my views. I'm also a Christian and a southerner and an educator who doesn't even remotely hate minorities and poor people. You've made some astonishingly ignorant generalizations here.[/quote]

Just calling it like I see it.  Whatever your professed beliefs, the actual laws proposed by the Republican Party and rhetoric used by Republican lawmakers suggest this hatred to me.  If you find it objectionable, perhaps you can lobby them to change their platforms.  [/quote]

Ok, so you are calling it like you see it.  I will take you at your word on that.

We don't hate America and most people know that (but you don't and I take you at your word).  We are generally distrustful of big government because the history of the world is jam packed with despotic tyrannical governments.  The government founded in this country is the best example of a non-tyrannical government in the history of civilizaion.  We love this country.  We think you guys in the blame-America-first crowd are the ones who loathe America.
