[quote=Anonymous]Wavy here! JinDC, I'm so impressed with your tremendous pre-preg weight loss, and your continued efforts to manage your weight and health throughout pregnancy. It's certainly hard. My hat's off to you, and I agree with everything the others have said thus far. Good luck on the GD results! Veggie chilli sounds amazing! DH and I had grilled chicken and lemon/olive oil/red chili flake broccolini last night, and it was so good! I've been trying to eat more healthy and buy fresh produce from farmer's markets, and keep it on hand so that I'm not as easily reaching for that mint choco chip ice cream! You can do it! You are inspiring me to do better. I went to prenatal barre yesterday! I think it was their first ever class, so it was a little slower since Jenna the instructor wanted to take her time to ensure everyone fully understood the modifications and had the correct form. From what I understand, moving forward it should be faster-paced. I was a fairly regular barre-er pre-pg (but by NO means a hot fitness chick), and will plan to go to both prenatal and regular barre classes (but do the modifications). To be honest, I didn't break a sweat at all in yesterday's class, and that is not at all normal for me, because I usually sweat up a storm and find the regular classes very challenging. But like I said, moving forward, they will probably be more rigorous. I think it would be a great class for people of all levels to attend and do recommend it since it is meant for all trimesters too. Most women that attend wear lulu gear; tank tops, tights, grippy socks. I get by with the grippy socks bc I don't mind barefoot. Make sure you bring water! Or you can pay $1 for bottles of water they have there. No prev experience or video research necessary. I should be there again next Sunday! I have done the Tranquil Space prenatal yoga class before (with my last pregnancy) and have not found it as challenging, simply because it focused more on stretching and poses rather than the muscle-toning aspect that barre has to offer.
