This is embarrassing.  Why does ND need a Top 10 recruiting class to play this schedule?  This is a Group of 5 one.[/quote]

First of all, they are required to play 5 ACC games every year. So not sure what they could do to change that.

Second, they play Navy, USC and Stanford every year. That makes 8 games out of the 12.

Third, the rest of the games are scheduled may years in advance. There is no way to know what these teams will be like so far in advance.

Do they play a SEC like schedule? Of course not. They never did and they don't have to. Despite that, they destroyed Indiana, Penn State, and Georgia in the playoffs less than a year ago. [/quote]
