I wonder why everyone on the left is so upset about President Trump‘s expansion of the White House that is being 100% funded by donations, but have zero interest in the $1.6 billion expansion of Gavin Newsom‘s California Capitol that is 100% taxpayer funded and 100% cloaked in NDA’s and cronyism
Where is the evidence the ballroom is funded by donations? We should be able to look at treasury accounts and see where the money is collected and spent. In which account has this $200 million been deposited?
In addition, there is absolutely no way that this was competitively bid as is required by Federal Procurement rules. Can't be done in a few months.
That’s also probably why it’s a tear down. You can find any crap developer willing to tear something down and put up some quickly built flimsy thing. Finding contractors who can renovate a historic building and comply with standards for a historical renovation is much harder and takes more time. And is probably harder to do as a back scratching grift. Hence they are tearing down instead of renovating.
Yep. No ethical builder would have taken this job. Especially one who values historical properties.
It was a MAGA company no doubt
