That’s also probably why it’s a tear down.  You can find any crap developer willing to tear something down and put up some quickly built flimsy thing.  Finding contractors who can renovate a historic building and comply with standards for a historical renovation is much harder and takes more time.  And is probably harder to do as a back scratching grift.  Hence they are tearing down instead of renovating.  [/quote]
