Can you not just admit that the blanket statement of "Cap Blue 2028 has not lost to--or even played--any B teams" is incorrect? Facts are facts, and the facts are that Cap 28 Blue did play a B team in M&D Red...
Let's see if we can do this one more time and see if you can wrap your little head around it: Someone proffers: "I heard XYX Club 2027's A team (for thread purposes) lost to a B team today. Is this true? " Answer: "XYZ Club 2027 A has not lost to - or even played - any B teams". Now, the issue that we're dealing with evidently is that when you were sitting in English class, there were numerous lessons about context and you weren't really paying attention. So -- if it were asked as if it just happened today, and someone replied with the exact same answer -- would you say it was inaccurate because XYZ crushed a B team back before Thanksgiving, and the answer needs to note that. Take your time. There is only one correct answer.
The answer you gave is misleading. You may have meant that Cap Blue hasnāt played a B team this summer in response to the statement of the OP, which would be correct. But your response states in no uncertain terms and without qualification that it only applies to summer that "Cap Blue 2028 has not lost to--or even played--any B teams". As written, it implies that it has never happened, which is inaccurate.
No, wrong answer!!! Again, it's called context and inferred statements. Not implied. It was not implied it never happened. You should infer that the answer was about what was proffered and asked, not assumed it has to include all things for all eternity. Once again, you don't understand English, conversations, or anything other than however it is that you process things incorrectly. Not to mention you don't like admitting mistakes and hopefully this is the dumbest conversation I have today. Anyway, you won't walk away with the big prize today, but what do we have for her, Jim?
