There was a high end group of boys that did slightly better. But it was relatively small. Women were impressive as well. It was not a contest between genders. At these highly competitive places, you need to apply an "edge". Men and women may have gone about it differently, but the edge was still there. And it transcended politics and various life experiences. The real problem is with the ones not seeking higher education or engaging in life after high school. I know some very bright and accomplished mothers of sons and who would not agree with your opinion. And they likely vastly outnumber you. [/quote]
