Where did this myth begin?[/quote] The answer to how this works is found in the NY Shipping Association's 2023 Annual Report. 2/3 of the longshoreman, both in number of workers and in number of hours worked, get paid the highest rate. They also somehow work almost twice as much overtime as regular time. [/quote]
