What happened was that this thread started normally for 7 pages discussing numerous schools, including SMU. Marquette, UCLA. Babson, Merced, William&Mary, Virginia Tech, UVA, UNC, Wash U., Tufts, CNU, and so on. Then a Notre Dame booster came on at page 8 (9/24) at 6:41 and wrote "another year with ND in top 20. Another year the haters will say it won't last. Always get a chuckle out of this."

The ND "haters" comment was picked up by another ND booster at 7:51 who concluded her remarks with about ND "What else do you want?" and the floodgates opened with the alleged "haters" telling the PP exactly what they wanted: more diversity starting  p 11 and running for pages.

UVA is brought up by another ND booster who weirdly wants to argue that "South Bend is actually better than UVA" at 10:29 and so on.

The pattern is one I've seen many times on DCUM: The ND boosters start with bragging and the community exchanges fire. This wouldn't happen if the ND boosters would shut up (ever notice there are no BYU boosters here? because they are smart and because Mormons are instructed by Church leaders not to engage in online battles about faith or BYU)[/quote]
