Hot in SoCal feels plenty hot, especially when the sun is out. [/quote] I agree with the prior PP - having spent a lot of time in both DMV and SoCal in summers. The humidity makes a huge difference, very hot days in SoCal cool off at night (and it feels even cooler without humidity) and is a lot easier to cool down a room (especially one in basement - where sun hasn't warmed up roof/walls) that would be the case during a heat wave on the east coast.[/quote]
