No...it will be sent back to the lower court to determine which of the charges apply to Trump's official duties and which apply to his actions on behalf of himself. Which will delay it past the election. So if we want to convict him we have to defeat him in November.[/quote]

I think you are correct, but it is bad faith because none of the charges or facts in the Trump case have any connection to official acts and the conservative Justices all know that, which is why they wanted no part of narrowly considering the facts or the legal question before them. The conservative Justices and Trump's lawyer completely disgraced the Supreme Court today. To pretend that coups and assassinations are extreme hypotheticals yet there might be cases in which they would be official duties exempt from prosecution is deplorable. These MFs will do anything to protect Donald Trump from prosecution because they really do not believe that laws should apply to their team. [/quote]
