Where is Oakton at in the list. They got all their attackmen coming back this year. Don't sleep on them. The attack line has experience at the varsity level. All can score easily. As well as a veteran coaching staff featuring my predicted coach of the year - Coach Bullock.
Oakton looked terrible against Indy and Indy is not that good. Oakton is not a top 10 team, although they probably are on par with some of the Also Considered teams. They have a lot of work to do.
I did not make it out to the game but I heard they were missing some key guys. Be on the lookout this week and this season. They will send a message in their home opener against Woodson in which I will be attending if anyone wants to come and watch the cougars dominate.
All team in the off-season were missing players. I doubt Indy had all their guys too. The fact is they won one game in winter and that was at a 2nd tier opponent of Fierce Nation. They performed poorly against all the Elite teams. Until they do something this year, they don’t enter this conversation.
Well you guys will see them dominate against Woodson tomorrow. Woodson is not ready for what's coming. I do not understand how they were not in the considered teams especially after their success last year and the amount of attackmen they have returning.
It's fine that they are all back but their attack wasn't their strength last year so bringing them back doesn't mean as much. Most of their offense seemed to run through their LSM and midfield. As I mentioned before, they probably should have been in the Also Considered and given their relatively soft schedule I wouldn't be shocked to see them crack the top-10 at some point this season. They just don't appear to be a real contender this year. We will keep an eye on them if they dominate though.
Plus they lost their pre season game to Indy, by a rather large margin. I then put them behind Indy, Briar and Riverside if they were in 5 themselves. (FWIW- I have Battlefield losing to Briar and maybe even Indy this week) Beyond the top 3 (and I have Langley at 3) it’s all academic anyway.
